A good turn out for the grizzly cold part of the year with Chris Elliott taking out the coveted Morwong Cup in fine style. Tim (The Pied Piper) Jackett on the other hand fished from  his work tender & had some nice fish in his esky ready to be proudly weighed in. On Saturday night he took some shut-eye on the deck to prepare for another assault early in the morning only to find that it was he & his fish from the esky that had been assaulted. The contents of his esky were strewn about the deck half chewed and torn to bits and it resembled a scene from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Piper has fingered water rats as the culprits but after last years fish tampering incident where Gravy’s suspect bream was adulterated, I wouldn’t be surprised if foul play has occurred. If this is the case then it must stop now. The committee will not tolerate any of this type of behaviour and have agreed that severe loss of points will be incurred if perpetrators of this type of act are brought to justice.

The 3-way competition is on next weekend and we would like to see as many of our club members weighing-in and trying to bring the trophy back to Avalon. Good luck and I will see you at the weigh-in at Newport next week.
